It’s that time! The leaves have started to change and the cooler temps are making an appearance here in the Pacific Northwest. I couldn’t wait to bring out my Fall decor because there is something so rich and cozy about the season. This is the first Fall that I have decorated in this house so it was like starting from scratch! It is completely different going from decorating a tiny condo to a full home. I used what I had and also picked up a few new pieces but I am sure my collection will grow year to year!
Our first taste of Fall is in our entryway! I love changing up this table with the seasons. Here I have pumpkins that we picked at our local farm. I keep this area relatively simple since it’s the first place you see but I am in the market for a round rug!
Of course Vampirina is playing! This is real life, folks 😉
I have always decorated with oranges and burlap during the Autumn season, but this year I have incorporated more whites and sage green much like my year round decor. That way I feel I can shop my home and use things I already have in new ways. I also love adding in some outdoor elements to give contrast. I really like how it turned out!
This wreath is a new find from Home Goods! I usually have my Hearth and Hand by Magnolia wreath hanging on this door so I knew I wanted to find a festive one to change out.
I had big plans of finding some throw pillows and blankets and other items for our main living space that I could bring out from year to year…but that went to the wayside being tired and pregnant with a toddler. So I just stuck with my typical decor with a few small touches of Fall. There’s always next year!
My normal kitchen decor is very neutral with greenery added in, so adding pops of orange makes a statement! I always look forward to bringing out my fall candles and soaps!
I found these kitchen hand towels at Home Goods and I thought they were the perfect fit to my decor. I even had a real pumpkin on my counter to match! One of my favorite pieces of decor that I love putting out every year is this light up pumpkin, also from Home Goods. At the time they had a bigger one to match and I totally regret not picking it up too!
My Fall decor goes up on September 1st because to me Summer has come to an end and it’s time for all things pumpkin! I decorated Juliette’s teepee with fun orange flowers and some gold sequin pillows.
But then by the end of September I decided to give the playroom a spooky makeover! I don’t have very many Halloween decorations (yet!) so I decided to put all that I had in the playroom! I went for a fun Halloween look and stuck with purples, blacks, oranges and greens since it is Juliette’s space.
The first thing I did was switch out the floral arrangement on top of her teepee!
I strung some banners in her toy area and changed out her books to include our Fall and Halloween favorites! The bat wall decals were found at Wal-Mart.
This is my first holiday/season decorating Juliette’s play kitchen and I am so excited! I knew I would have fun changing it up for her and she really seems to love it! She is always brewing potions in her cauldron 😉 I found the spiderweb, candles and glitter skull at Dollar Tree. The rest of the decor is from Target, except for the hand towel which my Mom gifted us.
And that’s a wrap! I hope you enjoyed my Fall home tour and maybe took some inspiration from it! I can’t wait to decorate and post my next tour…Christmas!
