We have been counting down until our family camping trip at Nehalem Bay State Park for months. It was Juliette’s first camping trip and our first time with a baby in tow. Joren and I went camping last summer and I was pregnant! Where does the time go? I took so many fun photos and I thought I’d share! I also put together a vlog here!
We arrived at our campsite in the early afternoon. We unpacked, played some games of corn hole, ate a delicious dinner (chicken pot pie!) and lounged around the fire.
This was our only full day in Nehalem and it was spent taking family photos, taking walks and eating lunch in town at a local Mexican restaurant!
As far as sleeping arrangements went, this is how we would start the night…
And this is how we would end up!
It took us so long for Juliette to get a sleep routine down and to love her crib and now it’s the only place she will sleep! She would wake up in her pack n’ play and would refuse to go back to sleep in it. Oh well, we just went with it! Besides, who could complain about these baby snuggles?
We woke up on our third day and headed down to the beach! It was Juliette’s first time seeing the ocean. It was so calm and peaceful, being that we were the only ones aside from a surfer or two making their way out into the water. It was absolutely gorgeous! I could have spent all day watching the waves.
On our way home we stopped in Astoria, Oregon for lunch at Bowpicker Fish & Chips. It’s a long line but definitely worth the wait! Juliette tried her first fish and I bet you can tell what she thought of it 😉
