I want to say it was back in 2015 when I was first introduced to “The Cold Buster” aka “The Medicine Ball” aka Honey Citrus Mint Tea from Starbucks. It has been a staple with each cold i’ve had in the years since. To help my wallet and for convenience purposes I keep the ingredients on hand to make it at home! It tastes just as delicious and works just as effectively when you’re fighting that obnoxious tickle in your throat.
Starbucks uses 1 Teavana Jade Citrus Mint tea bag and 1 Teavana Peach Tranquility tea bag in their recipe, but I personally have found that other brands you would find at your local grocery store work just as well. I tend to purchase Perfect Peach and Mint Medley, both by the Bigelow brand.
One great thing about this recipe is you can tweak it however you would like! Not a fan of peach? No problem! Use any fruit herbal tea that you enjoy. Make it as sweet or as tart as you prefer. Also, I use a lemonade with lower sugar as well because I love to make several cups when I am feeling under the weather! The Medicine Ball at Starbucks contains a whopping 33g of sugar, so it is definitely worth it to me to make it at home with a lemonade of my choice.

Tell me, are you a fan of this Starbucks favorite? Have you tried making it at home? I would love to hear all of the different ways you have tried it!
