Two months have gone by too quickly and I am sure I will keep saying that in the months to come! Babies don’t keep and I am trying to cherish every moment with our little man.
Joren went back to work when Dawson turned six weeks old. I know how fortunate we are to have had him home with us and it was wonderful that he was able to have quality bonding time with his son. The first work week that I was solo mommin’ it with two babes was admittedly rough. Juliette didn’t make it easy on me and decided to quit napping – oh the timing! Tending to Dawson’s needs, including breastfeeding every 2-3 hours, while trying to keep Juliette happy and cared for was a definite learning curve. We still have our hard days but I feel that it is getting easier with each one that passes.
This month Dawson celebrated his first Easter and took his first long car ride to visit our friends in Toledo. We survived his first leap and I hope his calm personality proves to be helpful during the upcoming developmental leaps. We have noticed he has become a bit more clingy this past month compared to his early newborn days, maybe because he is becoming more alert and isn’t such a sleepyhead.
