I am having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that we now have a four month old! We are treasuring each moment with our angel girl. These past few months have been the most challenging but the most magical all at the same time. As everyone says, they grow so quickly. Juliette has become such a smiley little babe! I remember the days where I would have to take a million photos to get a couple of her semi-smiling. Not anymore! This little model loves photoshoots with Mommy!
The hardest part this month was when we had Juliette’s lip tie and tongue tie clipped. What an experience. We have to exercise her wounds 5 times a day and once at night to ensure they do not reattach. As if having the procedure wasn’t traumatic enough, it is truly heartbreaking knowing that we are causing her pain every few hours. Ever try to wake a sweetly sleeping little girl only to stick your fingers in her mouth? I don’t recommend it. On the bright side, she is gaining weight and her reflux has greatly improved since having the procedure.
Sleep is definitely hit or miss. Some nights are absolutely wonderful and she will sleep 5-6 hours straight before waking to nurse and then will go right back to sleep for another several hours. These nights are glorious. Then other nights…not so much. It is often a real fight to get her down for the night. Daytime naps are always all over the place and can range from 35 minutes to 2 hours. She still prefers to sleep on me but is doing a lot better with napping in her bed.
