Month six has come and gone! I am entering my third trimester and I cannot even believe it. I feel like we are going to meet Dawson before we know it. Not too soon though…i’m not ready!
Heartburn: I have been experiencing heartburn almost daily. The first time I ever had heartburn was when I was pregnant with Juliette, and it was only once. With Dawson I have it all the time and it is not fun! It mainly occurs at night.
Movements + Pressure: I feel that Dawson is a lot lower then Juliette was and I definitely feel it. It feels as though he is trying to escape sometimes! I have been having shooting pain down there when he puts pressure on my nerves and it is very uncomfortable. My OB also said that round ligament pain can still occur even later in the pregnancy.
Hip Pain: My left hip, mainly. This is nothing new to me and I feel that I will have this through the end. I have been trying to do stretches and yoga which does provide some relief.
Other symptoms that are still sticking around are insomnia and shortness of breath.
TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN: 17lbs
THE BELLY: Line has not appeared yet. Growing! No stretch marks to report.
WHAT I’M WEARING: I pretty much live in leggings but I did find the most comfortable pair of maternity jeans at Ross, which is where I get a lot of my jeans because they’re so affordable. I wish they had the style in every color because they would all be coming home with me! I am also loving my leggings from Preggo Leggings and Kindred Bravely.
We revealed his name on Thanksgiving! Dawson Bradley. Dawson was a name that we both loved and Bradley happens to be a family name on both of our sides.
I had fun creating my Amazon baby registry and picking out necessities, postpartum essentials and even some wish list items. I plan on doing a separate blog post on what I registered for as a second time mom, so stay tuned for that!
I think Juliette is really getting excited to be a big sister. She says “brother” all the time whenever a baby is referenced, points to my belly, and even tries to give my belly button items like her paci! She adores babies and is so kind and gentle. I cannot wait to see her transition into the role. While I know there will be some adjustment (she is two, after all) I have no doubt that she is going to thrive as a sister!
CURRENT FEELINGS: I have been pretty moody this month!
SLEEP: No new update! Still struggling with some insomnia but it hasn’t been as bad as last month.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH: Enjoying all of the delicious Thanksgiving food and spending time with family!
LOW OF THE MONTH: HEARTBURN and hip pain.
OBSESSING OVER: The fact that our son has a name! We absolutely love it.
MISS ANYTHING?: Sleeping comfortably.
FOOD CRAVINGS + AVERSIONS: Still a major sweet tooth. Starting to get some anxiety over my glucose test because I can’t seem to kick the sugar bug this time!
LOOKING FORWARD TO: Seeing his nursery completed! I can’t wait to see my vision come to life.
