Tonight marked the last ‘first’ holiday we will be celebrating with our almost one year old! All month long we have been celebrating the fun that October has to offer (future blog post coming!) and we finished it off with All Hallows Eve!
When brainstorming our family costumes, believe it or not, Joren actually suggested this one! Maybe because he could wear a white t-shirt and jeans instead of the elaborate costume I am most likely going to come up with! I really love how they turned out and I had so much fun matching Juliette. She wasn’t too into smiling for pictures today, but I did manage to get this sweet shot…
Like most years, we spent the afternoon and the evening at my parents house with family and friends. Mom put out her usual spread which includes my favorite meatballs, white bean chili, and a variety of treats and drinks. Guys, I was so excited for Juliette to try the meatballs and the chili because I look forward to them every Halloween. Well, she did not like either of them 😐 What can ya do. I’m holding out hope for next year!
I have my Mom to thank for my love of seasonal living and celebrating the holidays big. She always goes above and beyond, and Halloween is no different! She dresses up every year and I could not imagine it any other way!
We were originally going to go trick or treating to a few houses but time got away from us and we were nearing bedtime. So we made one stop…Mumzies house! Juliette was smiley and my Mom was happy to be the first one for her trick or treating experience.
Until next year!
