Hello there and Happy Halloween!
I wanted to share a fun little photoshoot that we did with our Halloween costumes this year. We usually dress up and take our photos ahead of the big day just because we live in such a rainy state and I would hate to miss out having these fun pictures! And it’s a good thing we did because on Halloween this year it poured buckets!
Our family loves the Disney movie Brave therefore we thought it would be the perfect choice for our costumes! Juliette was fiery Princess Merida, of course, while I dressed up as her Mommy in bear form! We made it easy on Joren and he dressed up as Merida’s Dad, the bear hunter, by dressing in green.
With being pregnant I knew that I wanted to have a somewhat comfortable costume so I chose to be Merida’s Mom, Queen Elinor, while she was in bear form so I could wear a black maxi dress. I added the Queen’s crown and some bear makeup to finish it off.
Juliette’s dress is from Little Adventures Dress Up, which is my favorite website to order dress up clothes! Not only are they affordable but they are machine washable – a must have for a busy toddler. And it wouldn’t be a Merida costume without a bow and arrow! I found this one on Amazon.
We ended up having a great Halloween spent with family! We did take Juliette trick or treating to a few of our neighbors houses – but like I said it was pouring. In the end she enjoyed it and spent the rest of the evening handing out candy with her Mumzies.
